#GDP50 Sketch challenge using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlit Dies by Stampin' Up!

Wednesday 24 August 2016 Somerset, UK

I had lots of fun making these cards and have decided to enter my project today into two challenges.

The first challenge is a sketch challenge. My card layout has been based on the sketch below over at the Global Design Project #GDP50.
Second of all, Kylie Bertucci is running a another Blog Highlight competition where her blog readers will be voting on all of the projects entered for a chance to take part in one of Kylie's future International Blog Hops.

Voting starts on Friday 26th August at 9:30am BST. I will be posting the link on my Facebook page and Twitter, after it has gone live.

I really liked the sketch in this week's challenge. I also loved how the designers have interpreted  this into their designs over at the Global Design Project - however it took me a while to get started. After a few attempts, this is what I have come up with.!

The main colours used are Basic Gray and Melon Mambo. I love this combination - I almost went with Rose Red instead but I felt Melon Mambo worked much better. I decorated the inside too, which I sometimes forget to do!

I
I felt the card was still missing something however it was soon complete after I added the Silver Glitter Ribbon and die cut "congratulations" from Melon Mambo cardstock.

I am excited that I will be sending this card to a few of my new subscribers that joined my notification list after I ran a recent giveaway. I hope they enjoy receiving these cards and the kits for the balloon card!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my project and my blog. Back on Thursday with the Pinkies Blog Hop.
