Pinkies Team Design Challenge using Washi Tape - Come, let us sit together and drink champagne!

Wednesday 27 April 2016

At the Stampin' Up! Onstage Local event earlier this month, Dave Baugh (VP Global Operations) kindly gave all attendees a pack of the Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape.

I don't know about you but I have loads of Washi Tape in my craft stash but never ever use it. (Okay, so maybe I do, but its never in my craft projects, instead I use it when I can't find any sellotape!)

I love Washi Tape, the patterns are always fabulous but I never know how to incorporate it into my projects.....this got us thinking and so the Washi Tape Challenge was set.

The Pinkies team of demonstrators were challenged to make a project to showcase lots of ways you can use Washi Tape.

Thinking outside of the box, we have come up with over 15 different projects for you to look at. We really hope you find lots of inspiration from them, I know I certainly have!

For my entry I have stuck Washi Tape onto Whisper White cardstock and used my Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out 4 balloons, all in different patterns. Whilst I love monochrome, I added a pop of pink with Blushing Bride cardstock, glimmer paper and a little bit of stamping.

Please vote!

We would love it if you could vote on your 3 favourite designs. Whoever receives the most votes will win £20 to spend on Stampin' Up! products from Michelle Last - how exciting!!

All you need to do is visit Michelle Last's blog, take a look at all of the projects we have made and vote for your favourite 3 by clicking on the heart symbol in the top right hand corner of the image.

So come on, why don't you pop over to Michelle's blog now and take a look.

Voting will close at 18:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday 30th April.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to Stampin' Up! for holding such a great event. We were truly spoilt by Stampin' Up! as in addition to the Washi Tape, we also received three stamp sets, some of the kit we used in the make and takes as well as the canvas bag, pencil case, notebook and pens that we were given on arrival. From the kit, I choose 3 ink pads, another stamp set and some of the new foam adhesive strips.

I came home on a high and feeling very happy! I can't wait to go to this event again in November and you can too should you decide to buy a starter kit for £99, join my team and become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! You can contact me through my social media icons or click here to send an email to me. I would love to hear from you and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
