Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop

Friday 22 July 2016 Somerset, UK

Welcome to the Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016-2017 Blog Hop!

You’ll be hopping around some amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrators blogs, each with an inspirational project, featuring new catalogue products.

Currently you’re visiting Kim Price from Somerset, UK. Hello there!

You can continue hopping by using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post. Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.

My project today are two cards that are really quick and easy to make, I've simply added a few layers, a sentiment and a die cut butterfly to a Whisper White card base. I am really pleased with the how these have turned out and I hope you like them too.

I've used the gorgeous Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper and sentiments from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set. I love this suite, the flowers, the colours and the fonts are really lovely.

I like both DSP patterns but I felt they were too much to use in one block, so I made my borders on my layers wider than I would usually make so the DSP could been shown in a subtle way. I love how this has come out, my favourite is the card in Sweet Sugarplum. Which one is your favourite?

If you want to make these cards, you will need to cut the DSP to 9cm x 13.4cm and the top layer of Whisper White to 8cm x 12.4cm.

The sentiments are stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and Island Indigo and the butterflies are cut from the same DSP as the layer using the Butterflies Thinlit Dies.

  1. I just love butterflies! Wonderful cards.
I like the way you used the design paper again on the butterflies.

  2. Both of these cards are lovely and so simple! It's amazing how "wow" they look just by using DSP. So pretty Kim and I am so happy to be hopping with you this week xox
