International Blog Highlights November!

Monday 2 November 2020 United Kingdom

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it's November. It's always great to kick of the new month with Kylie's International Blog Highlights!

The theme, as always, is thank you

If you like my card, please vote for me - you can find more information on how to vote further down this page.

I've used the Love of Leaves Bundle from Stampin' Up! to create my thank you card.

The Love of Leaves stamp set is equally as great as the accompanying Stitched leaves dies.

Can you believe, I don't actually own any ink pads of colours that I could use to stamp autumn leaves?

Shocking I know! I didn't actually think that through when I purchased the bundle - oops! I'm just not a big fan of orange colours so when I updated all of my ink pads to the new style, I decided not to get them as I knew that for the large part they would sit there unused.

So I stamped my leaves in colours of green -using the colours Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow. To get the three different tones, I also 'stamped off' with Mossy Meadow.

For the centre piece, I die cut a leaf from Mossy Meadow cardstock and then run it back through my cutting machine, using the die (bottom right in the image above) to add stitched lines to the surface of my leaf.

Underneath the leaf is a layer of Vellum cardstock, this helps it stand out more from the background but still allows the stamping to show through.

To finish my card, I die cut the sentiment from Soft Sea Foam cardstock using the Word Wishes dies and lightly painted it with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

If you like my card I would really appreciate you taking the time to vote.

  3. Love your card Kim. Using the vellum adds such a soft tone to it and I love the way you used the bigger die to cut into your main leaf brilliant idea x Natalie
