It's been a difficult time for me and my family as last Saturday my lovely Grandma passed away. I am truly heartbroken but comforted that she was at home and with her two daughters. It breaks my heart even further that my father who lives on the other side of the world can't get here due to Covid.

Some may remember I shared a mothers day card a few weeks that I created to send on behalf of my Dad, my Aunty opened it as it arrived and showed it to my Grandma. I do hope it brought her some joy, if only for a second.

After I heard the terrible news, I spent the whole weekend focussing on my new blog redesign, it was what I needed to do to keep my mind busy and to stop the tears from falling. Everyone deals with grief in different ways and I ploughed all my energy into finally getting it done and I hope you like it.
So now you'll understand why I haven't had time to create a card for this blog hop - instead I'm sharing the Valentines card I made for my husband. It fits the brief - it's a card for a man. It may be very simple but I know a card covered in flowers or cute images isn't my husbands cup of tea. The words are more important to him.

I've added this Basic Gray pattern from the Peony Garden DSP to a Basic Gray cardbase.

I die cut the word 'Always' from the Always dies. I've used some retired Black Foil Sheets as I wanted the glossy look to help it pop off the page.

I stamped 'Forever and' from the Forever & Always stamp set and heat embossed it in white.

I added the Gilded Gems for a final touch, these gold beauties look amazing paired with grey.

Inside the card I've the sentiment 'To my always from your forever' which is from the Well Said stamp set.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Some of the products I've used are in the Last Chance Product sale - don't miss out!

If you have the time, it would be lovely if you could leave us comments to let us know you've stopped by!

Next up we have Tricia who has created a lovely project for you.
