Welcome to the Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Blog Hop!
If you have arrived here from Donna's blog, a very warm welcome to you! A quick shout out to my regular blog readers too, thank you so much for following my blog!
There is no theme today - although you'll find we have all used products from the Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue (you may even see cards made with products from the upcoming Mini catalogue or Sale-a-Bration catalogues).
Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
This week has been so busy, I only had a small window of time after work last night to create a card for this blog hop. I needed to make a quick and simple but effective card, that is of course true to my style.
Last night my friend Kate Bolt posted a question asking how we stored our daubers in the Pinkies Stampin' Up! demonstrators Facebook group. So I shared a picture of my daubers storage....
So with my Sponge Daubers on my desk and the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set mounted onto my Stamparatus, I had an idea!
I decided to ink up the entire stamp in Balmy Blue and then I added Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight to various parts of the images using my daubers to create this mutli-colour effect!
I tried it in another colour way too but I really wasn't happy with the colour combo I chose so I stuck with my usual blues (although I'm very much missing Seaside Spray and would have certainly added it into the mix)
I layered my stamped image background onto another piece of Whisper White, before adding to a Misty Moonlight card base.
I added a sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set - this is fast becoming a go to for sentiments. I just love this modern font!
A single Blue Adhesive Backed Gem finished this card
