Welcome to the Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Blog Hop!

If you have arrived here from Sue's blog, a very warm welcome to you!

There is no theme today - although you'll find we have all used products from the Stampin' Up! Annual, Mini or Sale-a-Bration catalogues.

Today I am sharing a card I created a few weeks back for my friends Liz Yuille who earned the Stampin' Up! incentive trip for the first time. What an amazing achievement Liz! You can check out her blog here.

I am a hobby demo and I enjoy buying Stampin' Up! products at a discount and being part of the awesome Pinkies team of demonstrators. I have a career in Finance so crafting is my escape not my job! My online shop is available if you want to buy anything and I will send out a thank you card and gift if you place an order with me but I don't run classes or sell kits. In the past I've held a few workshops, sold tutorials and have even be a guest designer for several retreats - so you see, I enjoying creating and I love to share Stampin' Up!

It's been lovely to see my demo friends grow their Stampin' Up! businesses - some of us have known each other for years and we are connected through my upline Michelle Last. Earning the incentive trip is no mean feet so I felt it was the perfect time to send a card to say congratulations to my friend Liz. A very sparkly card!

I'm so disappointed with a few of the photos but I was unable to retake them as I'd sent the card to Liz ages ago! It is so hard to take photos of card that are metallic or shiny. I am hoping when this post publishes the images will be clearer.

To create the feature on my card, I've used the Be Dazzling Specialty paper available with a £45 plus shipping order during Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration which ends on 30th September.

I've changed the colour slightly using a Stampin' Spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and Smoky Slate ink. It didn't take long to dry once I'd spritzed the card. I was going to experiment with different colours, Smoky Slate was the first colour I chose and I really liked the dark gold effect it created.

I used the Brilliant Wings dies to die cut the butterflies. The lines you can see in the background has been created with Pearlescent Specialty Paper and one of the dies from the Stitched Leaves dies. I decided to use Sahara Sand for the card base as this worked beautifully with the other elements.

The sentiment is from the fantastic Inspired Thoughts stamp set. This is my go to for short sentiments and I just love the font! I've heat embossed it in Black for that extra definition.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Next we have the lovely Laura, let's see what beautiful project she has made!
