Share It Sunday Blog Hop!

I am hopping along today with Stampin' demos and papercrafters for the Crafty Collaborations Share it Sunday Blog Hop!

With only days before it retires I am sharing a card created with the Sentimental Swirls stamp set by Stampin' Up!

This stamp set is designed by Sam Hammond aka Pootles celebrating her £1m sales that she achieved a few years ago. I've met Sam a few times and I must say I am in awe of her strong work ethic and the business she has created.

I've only used one stamp from the stamp set. I was playing around with colours and then decided that I really liked this ombre look that I kind of achieved by accident - so that became the focus of my card.

I've used the colours Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia.

The card I've created isn't quite as I intended it - it was initially on a Highland Heather card base but silly me stuck the sentiment down in the wrong direction.

I had to cut down the card base and mount it onto a Basic White cardstock base. The OCD person in me is not at all happy with the spacing between the white stamped panels. It was absolutely fine before I made my mistake but I've decided to publish this and not let my own criticism stop me from sharing it.

The Happy Birthday sentiment from the Biggest wish stamp set was stamped using the Stamparatus. With such bold stamps it is necessary to stamp the same image many times to get a bold impression, this is what I use my Stamparatus for the most.

I die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment using a circle die from the Layering Circle dies. I then layered this on top of a circle die cut from the Stylish Shapes dies.

To finish my card I added a bow which I tied from the White Glittered Organdy ribbon and a scattering of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I particularly love how these two blend easily with any colours making them incredibly versatile.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
