Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop!

The theme today is Christmas in July - and we have lot's of projects to share with you.

I still only have one Christmas bundle so I am sharing another card created with the Joyful Flurry stamp set and Frosted Flurry dies.

This card has a totally different look to my previous card which demonstrates the versatility of this stamp set.

I am using the Lights Aglow DSP which features some cool bokeh style patterns in several colours - there are lot's of other patterns too.

The colours in this pack of patterned paper are Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Very Vanilla.

I've chosen to feature the colour Evening Evergreen which looks stunning with gold accessories.

I've had lots of fun with several different techniques.

First up is heat embossing!

The sentiment 'Joyful wishes' from the Joyful Flurry stamp set has been heat embossed in gold onto a piece of the Lights Aglow DSP.

The label on the front of the card has been die cut using a rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle dies.

The label inside the card has been die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies.

The second technique is Gilded Leafing!

I covered two pieces of cardstock in Versamark ink, applied the Heat and Stick Powder and then used my Heat Tool to activate the powder so that it was sticky. I then applied the gold flakes with a small paintbrush, pressed lightly so that it adhered to the card, brushing off any excess.

I also gave the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots a bit of a makeover and applied gilded flakes to these also - this was to to tie them in with the overall look. It wasn't a huge success, you could say they look a bit rustic!

I've adhered one piece of cardstock covered in gilded flakes behind the DSP.

I've used the larger Frosted Flurry dies which are partial pop-ups, which have individual pieces that aren’t meant to be cut away from the paper. You can just about see the gold peeping through from underneath.

I've then die cut snowflakes using the smaller dies, from a piece of cardstock covered in the gilded flakes.

The photographs just don't do this card justice and the light here isn't too good today.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Now it's time to check out the blog hop!
