Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase blog hop

There is no theme today - although you'll find we have all used products from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue or Mini catalogue.

When I was considering what project to share today, this card felt appropiate.

I made this card many weeks ago but I didn't make it for anyone in particular, it is the outcome of my creativity inspired by the Perfectly Pencilled DSP.

I am sure I am not alone when I say I felt extremley sad when I learned that our Queen passed away peacefully on Thursday 8th September 2022.

It goes without saying that her strength and her inspiration was and still is admired by people all over the world. There are many words I could say but I will keep it brief. I admire her for many things, notably the committment and the service that she provided to our country and the commonwealth.

This card is dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II and the members of the Royal Family whose roles, which they have been preparing for their whole lives, have changed. I wish them all courage and strength during this period where they are grieving privately but publically continuing with their duties.

I wish King Charles III a successful resign and I look forward to witnessing his leadership.
God save the King!

So now we look back at my card and we can see that the message is so relevant - "your strength is an inspiration".

Unitentionally it symbolises many things - the flower on the left (Queen Elizabeth II) the butterfly (a symbol of change) flying to the flower on the right (King Charles III).

To make this card I simply fussy cut the flowers from the Perfectly Pencilled DSP and adhered them to a piece of Basic White cardstock.

I layered this onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then onto a Basic White cardbase.

The sentiment is from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set, which I have heat emossed in white on Basic Black cardstock.

I've also added a scattering of Matte Black Dots.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
Now it's time to check out the other projects in the blog hop!
