Happy Haunting Halloween Party Invitations using Stampin' Up! Products

Wednesday, 30 September 2015

The dark nights are settling in now and soon the winter coats & scarfs will be coming out. I love our seasons and whilst I am sad that summer is well and truly over, I am looking forward to Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas!

With Halloween just over a month away, I decided to make some Halloween Invitations. I'm not having a party but I wanted an excuse to make some Halloween Cards. Here in the UK we don't give cards at Halloween but I still wanted to make some so I thought I could make the cards invitations instead.

I added a strip of Black Glimmer Paper to the bottom of the card and added You're Invited using the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and the Word Window Punch.

This years Halloween themed Designer Series Paper is just spooktacular. The colours Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Tangelo Twist ooze Halloween and look striking together.

The designs are so great they really don't need much adding to them. I love the bats, ghosts & spider patterned paper I've used in these cards but there are some other great patterns in the pack of paper such as the gravestones & crows and the Tangerine Tango stripes.

In each pack of Happy Haunting DSP, you get 12 sheets of 12" x 12" paper. The pack includes 2 sheets of each of the 6 double side designs and it only costs £10.00!

You can also buy a pack of coordinating cardstock for £6.50 which contains 24 A4 sheets of cardstock. 8 sheets each of Basic Black, Tangelo Twist, Very Vanilla.

There are so many projects you can make with this DSP. Above are some ideas the creative gurus at Stampin' Up! have featured in the Autumn Winter Catalogue. If you would like a catalogue, please let me know by sending an email to info@handmadebykim.co.uk.

Stampin' Up! Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack

Monday, 28 September 2015

I've had a lovely weekend crafting, I've not had much time over the last few weeks to create so I've loved spending 2 days in my craft room.

It took a little while for my creativity to get going but I am really pleased with all of the different projects I have made and I can't wait to share them with you.

Today's set of 4 cards are made using the Go Wild 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper stack. This pack contains 48 double sided sheets of paper, 4 each of 12 different designs in Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe, & Whisper White.

For all four designs I've used a combination of two different coloured pieces of cardstock for the base and the layer. The colours I have used are Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe & Whisper White.

I chose coordinating sheets of the Go Wild Designer Series Paper to layer on top. I've kept my design super simple to make and have used the Greetings Thinlits to die cut the Hello, Thanks & Cheers from Black Glimmer paper, adding the chosen sentiment to the centre of the card.

I love how unique each card looks with the different layers & DSP, my favourites are the cards with a layer of Basic Black as it just seems to make the whole card more striking.

I placed an order today so next weekend I'll be working on creating even more projects with my new haul of Stampin' Up! products! Make sure you come back to check out my new projects or simply click here to subscribe to be notified of all new projects I share on my website.

Plus we have another Blog Hop coming soon. Did you know it is World Card making Day on Saturday 3rd October....!

Pretty Petals Happy Birthday Card in Old Olive

Saturday, 26 September 2015

I can't believe its the weekend already, the last few weeks have flown by! This weekend I will be in my craft room and I have a busy agenda. I'll be making cards for friends and family, creating cards and 3D projects to showcase here on my website and I will also be trying to come up with a unique and fun swap for a team training event that's coming up in 2 weeks time.

Do you ever struggle making cards for men? I certainly do, almost all of my stamp sets are geared towards females. There are a few male themed sets in the catalogue but I've not got round to ordering them yet. This card was designed with the male species in mind, the colours are quite grungy and there are no flowers or butterflies in sight.

As you know I like to keep my designs quite simple so I've layered designer series paper onto a Basic Gray base. I stamped Happy Birthday onto Very Vanilla cardstock using the Cottage Greetings stamp set and then used the Sprinkles On Top stamp set to stamp a row of candles.

There are some fab bargains in the Clearance Rack at moment, You can check these out by clicking on Clearance Rack in the top menu bar. I am putting an order on this weekend, so if you need anything, let me know. Have a great weekend!

Timeless Elegance Series - Simple Pillow Box Gift Boxes & Series Photo Collage

Wednesday, 23 September 2015

In the last 2 weeks I've showcased 7 different projects featuring the beautiful Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper - the series has included a Stationery Tin, Thank You Card, Gift Bags, Wedding Card, Bag in a Box, Congratulations Card and to complete the series today we have a set of Pillow Boxes.

In the Autumn Winter catalogue there is a brand new die called the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies. You just run it through your big shot with some designer series paper and using your scoring tool and some adhesive, you have a gift box that's perfect to hold some chocolates, jewellery or even a gift card.

I've kept the design quite simple and stamped  a tag using the Merry Everything stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Basic Black Archival Ink. I have used the coordinating Note Tag punch to punch it out and added it to the Pillow Box with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

You can buy the Merry Everything stamp set and Note Tag Punch in a bundle where you save 15%. For £26.25 plus P&P you get 5 stamps that can be used for Birthdays, Christmas & Halloween. This set is useful to make tags in super quick time, perfect when making multiple tags for Christmas presents.

To finish off the design, continuing with the simple theme, I added a small star / small heart punched out of Gold Glimmer paper using the Itty Bitty Accents punches. I think its just what it needed without being too fussy.

I really hope you've enjoyed my series featuring the gorgeous Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper. This paper is so elegant and it can be dressed up or down to suit your project.

You can order a pack of the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper from my online shop today for just £10.00 plus P&P. Just click on the picture below in the supplies list.

There is also a handy pack of coordinating cardstock which contains 24 sheets - 8 A4 sheets of Basic Black, 8 A4 sheets of Sahara Sand and 8 A4 sheets of Very Vanilla. It only costs £6.50!

If you would like to add this to your order, simply search Timeless Elegance A4 Cardstock Assortment Pack (code 139019) in my online shop.

If you would like to place an order, please visit my online shop or get in touch with me by email - info@handmadebykim.co.uk.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to hear from you soon!

Timeless Elegance Series - She believed she could so she did Congratulations card

Monday, 21 September 2015

I really like this card and compared to the other projects in the series, the overall look feels so much warmer having teamed the Timeless Elegance designer series paper with Lost Lagoon cardstock and Gold Satin Ribbon. I love how papers or stamp sets can look so different by simply just changing colours.

I used the stamp set Feel Goods for the sentiment and I sponged Sahara Sand ink around the edges of all of the layers to give the card an aged feel.

I did intend to tie a bow but that really didn't got to plan. I cut the ribbon too short and as it was stuck down, I couldn't change it. So instead of a bow I tied a knot and I actually quite like it. Sometimes mistakes are meant to happen, don't you think?

There is just one project left in my Timeless Elegance Series, I'll be back on Wednesday with a set of pillow boxes that are really simple to make. See you then.
