Goodbye In Colours 2020 - 2022

Saturday 30 April 2022 United Kingdom

It's that time of year when we say goodbye to the Stampin' Up! In Colours before a brand new set of five launch.

So today I am saying farewell to Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonight which retire on 2nd May.

In Colours are launched by Stampin' Up! every year and last for two years.
There are always two sets of In Colours around at the same time.

I tend to love every other years release of In Colours. I feel like one year they are bold colours and the next they are muted. It's not always been the case, maybe an unintended outcome of the last few years releases.

These colours were too bold for me so there is only one colour in this set that I am going to miss and that's Misty Moonlight, it's such a lovely blue.

Every 5 or 6 years Stampin' Up! do a colour refresh. I'm keeping everything crossed and hoping to see Purple Posy (I know this colour had issues, but still) Sea Side Spray (retired last year) and Misty Moonlight come back.

I've started a new tradition to show case the retiring and new in colours in a collection of cards like this. You'll see Instagram and Pinterest scattered with images of the same from Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world.

See my blog posts on retiring 2019-2021 colours here and introducing last years 2021 - 2023 colours here.

It's always great to give them one last outing and this year I've decided to also feature the retiring Stitched Leaves dies. I just love the stitching details on the leaves.

Waste not, want not!

I've used the leftover pieces I had from die cutting leaf from the DSP on the front of the card to decorate the inside too.

I've also used some scraps of the In Colour 2020 - 2022 DSP too!

I didn't have any embellishments in this set of colours so I kept it simple with just the 'Thank You' sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set.

I've die cut the sentiment from Basic White cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle dies.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
