Happy Valentines day!
I've created this fun card with the Stampin' Up! Driving By stamp set that is available for free (while stocks last) with a qualifying order of £45 plus shipping during Sale-A-Bration.
I love creating cards with non traditional colours - Valentines card don't have to be pink or red!
I used this Pool Party patterned paper to cover my cardstock base. It's from the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (also available during Sale-A-Bration). If you didn't know Pool Party is my favourite Stampin' Up! colour.
To create the main feature of my card, I stamped the VW style campervan images onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. I also stamped the same images directly onto scraps of the patterned paper.
I then fussy cut out the sections of the campervan that I wanted to show the pattern on and glued them onto the campervan images I had stamped onto the Basic White the cardstock.
This is called paper piecing and it is a great technique!
I used my Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to lightly colour the campervan wheels and added a few lines to the windows to make them look like a reflective surface. I also added a light swish of Pool Party Stampin' Blends under the tyres.
I used the sentiment 'I think you're wonderful' from the Special Moments stamp set (also available during Sale-A-Bration, with a qualifying order of £90)
I added a piece of Basic Black cardstock at an angle, underneath my campervan scene.
To finish my card, I added some Black Matte Dots and 2 left over hearts from another project of mine that I created with the Sweet Conversations stamp set and Sweet Hearts dies (also available as a bundle). It always pays to keep left over die cuts ❤
